Unleashed is a Swedish death metal band that was formed in 1989 by Johnny Hedlund after he left Nihilist. Viking culture, recollection of a pre-Christian world, and Norse folklore are common themes found in the band's songs.

Unleashed was founded in 1989 by vocalist and bassist Johnny Hedlund after his former band, Nihilist disbanded. Unleashed recorded demos "Revenge" and "Utter Dark", which got them a record deal with the German label Century Media Records. In 1991, the band released their debut studio album, Where No Life Dwells, and toured with Morbid Angel in Europe and United States.

Warbringer is an American thrash metal band. The band formed in 2004 as Onslaught but changed their name after learning that a UK thrash metal band was already using the name. Warbringer is signed to Century Media Records. Century Media signed Warbringer after seeing them at a local show in LA. Originally, Century Media was at the show to see another LA thrash metal band but decided to sign Warbringer instead. Warbringer's second album Waking Into Nightmares was released on May 19th, 2009

Fleshcrawl, although their overall style has evolved over the years, remains quite similar- and often compared to such Scandinavian/Melodic Death metal bands as Grave and Dismember. Like these bands, Fleshcrawl creates a familiar, mid-range guitar tone with rapid tempos and short guitar solos consisting of fast, nimble alto-range progressions. However, the band's drumwork since the mid-to-late 1990s, composed mainly of high-speed, rolling double-bass drums and blast beats is comparable to that of many brutal death metal bands, such as Nile and Skinless, but at the same time, is down-tuned enough to not lose its kinship with the melodic death metal genre.

Occasionally, they incorporate organs and other instruments, such as trumpets and kettle drums into their music, particularly in their instrumental intros and interludes.

Fleshcrawl's lyrical themes are generally characteristic of typical death metal, and encompass such concepts as insanity, horror, doomsday, war, murder, misanthropy, genocide, gore, slavery, and sacrifice, among other lyrical concepts familiar to death metal

To call I a Norwegian supergroup would be nothing short of an understatement: featuring members of mighty IMMORTAL, GORGOROTH, SAHG and ENSLAVED in their ranks, it comes as no surprise that the debut album Between Two Worlds (in stores November 3 in Europe, November 14 in US) takes us to the very roots of high-class metal and further.

With IMMORTAL having disbanded a few years back, the metal scene suffered a great loss. Not only did they spearhead the rise of brutal and epic Norwegian metal, but their live shows where second to none.

Now frontman Abbath has assembled his troops and kicks back with a debut album that picks up where IMMORTAL left off, but with a new edge. With classic riffs, monumental choruses and epic arrangements, Between Two Worlds has arrived to set the metal world on fire!

The obvious hints at the legendary BATHORY (just check out "Far Beyond The Quiet") are meant as a tribute to the deceased mastermind Quorthon: it was written in honor to the highly influential Swedish cult act. Lyricist Demonaz (who won't appear onstage with I) even points out having tried to write in Quorthon's style.

I have suceeded in truly combining the best of two worlds: a haunting and epic look at the past of Black Metal, fused with all the hatred and heaviness IMMORTAL are still standing for. Those who attended I's sensational live debut at this year's Hole In The Sky Festival in Bergen, Norway will certainly agree.

Opera IX es un grupo italiano de black y gothic metal creado en 1988 por Ossian. En 1990 hacen su primera cinta demo Gothik.

Después de varios cambios en la composición la banda, alcanzó cierta estabilidad conCadaveria en vocales, Ossian en la guitarra, Vlad al bajo y Flegias en la batería. El temprano "occult metal" de la banda fue cambiado a una mezcla mas atmosférica de gothic, death yBlack metal. El segundo demo, que contenía 4 canciones de culto, hizo que la banda fuera conocida en la escena underground; fue entonces cuando Opera IX firmó un contrato para un EP, que fue lanzado en 1993. Las primeras 500 copias fueron vendidas en solo 2 meses. Entretanto, la banda realizaba su primer video "The Triumph of the Death" conteniendo 2 videos; el gran éxito obtenido empujo a la banda a incluirlo en la mercancía, aun cuando fue solo concebido como promoción.
